Students are required to discuss potential petitions to the Recording Committee with their student dean.

Dean and advisor(s)' signatures on a petition signify that you have discussed the petition and the petition process with them; it does not necessarily mean they approve or support your petition.
The course instructor(s) will also receive an email notification prompting them to provide the current grade being earned and the last date of attendance along with their signature.
It is the student's responsibility to follow up with instructors, advisors, and deans for their input - sometimes these emails land in junk or "other" folders.
Instructor, Advisor, and Dean input must be submitted by 10:00am EST/EDT sharp the Monday prior to the Recording Committee meeting.
Your petition statement will not be shared with the instructor or your advisor(s).
