The Davenport is an advance on part of your Bowdoin Grant for the semester you study away. The money you request to pay for upfront costs, such as program deposit or flight, will be charged against your student aid disbursement. It will reduce the amount of funds available to send to your study abroad program.
If for any reason you are unable to depart/attend your off-campus study program and you received a Davenport for associated fees, you will still be required to repay the advance using your semester student aid disbursement.
Please note the requirements for each Davenport type:
- Program Deposit and/or Visa: Take a screenshot of the deposit requirement, due date, and cost and/or Visa application cost.
- Flight: Search for flight you intend to purchase and take a screenshot of the itinerary and cost associated with the flight.
- Other: Provide appropriate documentation to support request.
