MAINE COMMUNITY FELLOWSHIP PARTNER APPLICATION
Deadline: Tuesday, December 3, 2024 at 12pm
As in previous years, we are asking that potential partner organizations who wish to request a summer fellow submit an application. This will help us determine how best to match the fellowship program with both community needs and ongoing campus initiatives (such as those in upcoming courses, community-based research projects, volunteerism and campus themes of public engagement). Fellows receive a stipend of $6,000 (with an additional $1,000 expenses supplement for students receiving aid) and will work full-time for 10 weeks in Summer 2025.
This application consists of the following:
- Contact information for the partner organization supervisor
- Questions around in-person vs remote work
- Answers to the following prompts:
- Please provide a 2-3 sentence description of what your organization's mission is, who your constituents are, and what work your organization does on a regular basis.
- Please detail in 3-4 sentences, one or two potential projects the student would undertake over the course of the 10-week fellowship as well as additional work that a student might be doing regularly with your organization.
- Please detail in 2-3 sentences, what skills and/or experience you are looking for in students who may apply to a position with your organization.
For accepted organizations (in mid-December), we will use the descriptions you provide in this application as fellowship descriptions for our applying students.
