Off-campus Study Withdrawal form
Students can withdraw at any time from study away, however please be aware this decision is IRREVERSIBLE.
Please also be aware of the following considerations:
For Bowdoin:
- This withdrawal form will be submitted to OCS, who then, in most circumstances, submits the paperwork to inform other offices (Student Dean, Registar, ResLife, Student Aid) of the change in your status. This change of status process may take a business day or two.
- If withdrawing after Bowdoin class registration, you will have to wait until Add/Drop to register for classes
- If withdrawing after the Bowdoin housing lottery, you will not be able to lottery; you must work with Lisa Rendall in ResLife to get your housing assignment
For your host institution:
- If you've already applied/been accepted to your program/university, it is your responsibility to inform them of your withdrawal. If you've already outlaid money be aware you may only be partially refunded, depending on the circumstances of your withdrawal and your host institution's policies.
If you are uncertain about withdrawal or want help trying to make your current study away plan work, please contact Christine or Julia in Off-Campus Study-- we'd love to help make it work for you!
